Neighborhood Cleanup — Starter Checklist

BEFORE
[ ] Walk the area and define a clear, manageable route.
[ ] Confirm who owns or manages the space.
[ ] Ask local partners what has already been tried.
[ ] Pick a date, rain plan and safe meeting point.
[ ] Arrange gloves, bags, grabbers, water and first-aid supplies.
[ ] Confirm how collected material will be removed.
[ ] Invite neighbors, local businesses and civic groups.

DURING
[ ] Welcome everyone and explain the route and safety plan.
[ ] Assign small teams and a check-in time.
[ ] Photograph conditions without identifying people unless they consent.
[ ] Separate unusual or hazardous items for the proper authority.
[ ] Thank participants and share one immediate result.

AFTER
[ ] Record participation, bags collected and areas completed.
[ ] Note any issue that needs City or property-owner follow-up.
[ ] Share an approved before/after image.
[ ] Set the next stewardship date.
[ ] Report what worked so another block can learn from it.
